Amanda possesses a unique combination of experience having worked as a Board level HR professional and as an Interim Provider working with some of the most highly respected brands in the market. Amanda has comprehensive experience across a range of organisations including Public sector, PLC and family owned businesses. Within her specialism of HR Amanda has experience of working with organisations on acquisitions, disposals, re-structuring and OD – often in rapid growth situations; and of managing specialist HR teams (Reward, Recruitment, and HR Systems and Operations).
Amanda gained first-hand experience of the benefits of using Interim Executives during her tenure as HR Director for a group of 5 SME’s, where she brought a number of senior interims into the businesses to deliver change projects focused on business improvement and transformation. Before joining Alium Amanda was Senior HR Business Partner with a leading Provider of Information Technology products and services to educational organisations and establishments in the UK. Amanda’s early career was in retail management, graduate recruitment and management development with Debenhams, The Burton Group and ICI.
As a Partner at Alium, Amanda provides senior interims to organisations requiring enhanced senior leadership capability. Using her extensive experience as an HR Director Amanda builds strong relationships with clients and interims to scope assignments and define outcomes. Amanda has an in-depth understanding of the benefits of using senior interims to deliver organisation change and extensive experience in identifying interims quickly with the expertise to deliver the best client outcomes.
In addition to her role in securing, the best interim talent for organisations Amanda plays an on-going role with her clients and interims throughout the duration of an assignment – providing coaching and mentoring support to deliver best possible outcomes for the client. Amanda has a unique understanding of the dynamics of organisations built up from her experience “both sides” of the desk, which enables her to assist both the client and the interim. With over 10 years’ experience in placing senior interims across a wide range of functions Amanda is often called upon by her clients to provide advice and guidance to help projects.
