Following an acquisition, the new owners of a healthcare company wanted to turn around their falling sales figures. They asked Alium to supply an interim management executive
The interim would be responsible for revising marketing programmes and driving the development of new technologies, including web-enablement of very large databases.

The assignment was a major success: the interim management executive led the rebranding and repositioning of the entire product portfolio, with a revision of pricing policies, and the centralisation of software development. The interim Sales Director rationalised eight separate IT systems to just one across Europe, and major client contracts were renegotiated to deliver a multi-million bottom line benefit. The revised marketing programme meanwhile increased revenue/operating margin from 20% and 39% respectively, significantly higher than in the previous year when both were flat.
