With estimated losses of almost £12 million a year, this large transport company needed a new direction.

The company asked Alium to find an interim Chief Executive Officer to turn the situation around. The interim manager began her role by benchmarking the organisation against the most effective transport companies in the world, looking at issues from organisational culture to service delivery procedures and staff training programmes to use of technology and innovations. Based on her findings, she developed a comprehensive action plan and worked with divisional teams to ensure implementation. The business is now earning substantial profits.
