As part of an organisation-wide transformation, the client sought additional capability in the form of a Programme Director to deliver the end to end build of a new Shared Service Centre. The proposed shared service centre introduced a more efficient and effective means of serving the organisation, which had no prior experience of shared services.
This programme ran in parallel with a wider transformation piece taking place across the organisation. This presented the need to utilise external capability in the form of a shared services specialist with a proven track record of operating within highly complex environments featuring interdependent projects.
Starting from scratch, the Programme Director was tasked with assessing a proposed location, building the planning and delivery team, selecting the technology, and executing the build and fit-out.
The resulting centre provided the organisation with a more effective, customer centric back office operation, which increased quality whilst reducing operational cost.
