How Alium conducts management assessments and audits
Management assessment and audit from Alium has a simple aim: to identify exactly how well individuals match your leadership requirements.
Management assessment and audit aims to go beyond someone’s track record and past performance to understand their management behaviour – which is a more valuable indicator of their future performance.
Using in-depth interviews to understand an individual’s achievements and competencies, and valid and coherent measures of personality and ability for psychological profiling, we will answer key questions about each individual’s:
- Overall leadership capability
- Potential
- Benchmark position in the marketplace
- Competencies
- Cultural fit
- Strengths
- Limitations or development needs
- Personality.
These can be general insights, or specific assessments against role profiles (eg a strategic role, operational role or change leadership role).
Turning profiles into insight
We then not only provide you with a documented objective and insightful view of a person to help with recruitment, selection, internal promotion, or development review, but also work with you to discuss and interpret the results of our assessment – which is essential to ensuring the audit is relevant to your business context and immediate circumstances.
Finally, we provide in-depth feedback – either direct to the individuals we have analysed, or to your executives so they can deliver a debrief.
When the assessment is conducted before moving a person to a more senior or significantly different leadership role, we recommend that our debrief forms part of a leadership transition and coaching process to help the executive make a quick, effective and enduring contribution.
