Les Uttley joined Alium Partners in 2009, bringing with him a wide range of experience of handling strategic policy and performance-related issues in the commercial entities in the Ministry of Defence. Les primarily focuses on Defence and Public Sector Corporate Bodies.
Les’s past experience includes support to the recruitment of CEO and NED’s into the Public Sector. Les has extensive Programme/Project experience, having spent five years in Germany, working in the collaborative Eurofighter (Typhoon) Programme and, more recently working in the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office Programme Office as Strategic Portfolio Manager. He has extensive experience of strategic policy development for Public Sector Companies through periods of rapid change and of providing advice to Ministers, Chief Executives and Senior Civil Servants.
Les firmly believes that the targeted placement of effective interim managers provides a real opportunity to drive up performance in the Public Sector and deliver value for money to the taxpayer.
Les is a certified PRINCE2 and MSP Practioner.
