Becoming a Successful Interim Manager

On the 15th May I am running an interim training event designed to help interims sharpen techniques to land their next role.  What qualities make a successful interim manager?  Read on to find out.

We are taking a different approach today in delivering great interim management advice. Instead of a wordy blog post detailing the ins and outs of how to become a successful interim manager, I’m sharing my eight essential top tips in a very visual way.

Sometimes it really helps to clarify what is important for your success by using a creative tool. Images are great for helping us remember information so you could say that the Slideshare below is a mnemonic device for becoming a successful interim manager! Either way these critical points are the basic qualities you need to become that successful interim manager, see what you think and please share your views in the comments below.

Key Qualities of a Successful Interim Manager

Becoming A Successful Interim Manager from Alium Partners

Of course sometimes you want more detail than a visual presentation. For that we have a wealth of blog posts on interim management and great careers advice for anyone considering becoming an interim manager. If you would like us to cover any particular area in our blog, or expand on ones that have been covered before, please leave a comment.

Referencing my presentation, are there any additional tips you feel should be passed on to interim managers?  Is there one which is singularly more important than the rest?  What qualities do you feel are important to bring to a new interim role?  Please leave your comments below.
