In addition, the legacy systems were proving costly, and in some cases, very difficult to maintain. This was compounded by the fact that many of the in-house skills were lost due to the acquisition. Alium was tasked with finding an IT interim programme director with an understanding of complex system integration and the ability to re-engineer core business systems and processes.
