FMCG Company

Challenge

We were approached by an established Middle Eastern FMCG company to assist them, on an exclusive basis, in the establishment of their new UK operation. The client was looking to expand into Europe and bring a number of their established brands and products to the UK market. Alium were engaged to provide management consultancy and resourcing services to ensure that the company was operational in the timelines requested.

Approach

Utilising Alium’s listen, understand, solve & deliver approach, Alium consulted with the ownership of the new company to ensure we understood their business plan, strategy, motivations and timelines in order to develop a bespoke approach that would adequately support the company as they entered a demanding and fast-moving marketplace.

Solution

Given the need for oversight, focus and stability, we quickly moved to bring in an Operations Director to oversee the start-up phase. For such a key position, we brought in one of our experienced interims who had successfully delivered similar programmes for Alium in the past. The Operation Director has continued to drive the business forward, while we continue to resource key management and strategic positions within the organisation.

We are now three months in to the programme and have successfully resourced the core leadership team, including finance, transport and warehouse management. As the company prepares to launch, we are continuing to work closely with the management team to deliver experienced candidates across the business.
